Intro to Inversions: Part 1

Learn the mechanics of going upside down

Join Starbird for the first installment of her three-part Intro to Inversions series. In this 60-minute Vinyasa class, you will flow through Sun Salutations, standing balancing poses, drills to learn the mechanics of kicking up into a handstand or forearm stand, and work your way toward full splits to increase flexibility in the hamstrings. The process of developing an inversion practice is a long, challenging road. Starbird invites you to utilize this playful class to release expectations and embrace the journey ahead.

Appropriate for Intermediate students. Previous knowledge of poses is helpful, as there will be less explanation given for basic postures.

Starbird discovered yoga while in the midst of recovering from alcohol addiction. She is endlessly inspired by the natural flow of the universe, as well as helping others connect with themselves. Her classes are a mix of spirituality, strength building, and keepin it real.
