Kemetic Sun Salutation and MAAT KA
Welcome to an introductory Kemetic Yoga practice! This 30-minute class with Tenci includes a Kemetic Sun Salutation as well as a sequence called MAAT KA and is designed to activate your major joint and muscle groups while massaging the internal organs and activating reflexology points in the hands and feet. Kemetic yoga is the most ancient holistic healing practice that revolves around your connection with yourself. Three things to keep in mind: (1) Breathe: let your breath circulation be your guide and focus, (2) Be Kind to Your Body: soften your knees, ground your hands and feet, and align from the inside, out, and (3) Love on Yourself: celebrate, forgive and commit to yourself during your practice.
After witnessing her mother use self-awareness practices and an alkaline, plant-based diet to cure herself of a rare form of cancer and type 2 diabetes, the trajectory of Hortencia "Tenci" Campbell's life changed forever.
